A FREE full-day event open to everyone, but teens get preferred seating. Meet dynamic authors of young adult literature. Break out sessions with the following authors: Tonya Hurley, Robert Lipsyte, George O'Connor, Rita Williams-Garcia, Maryrose Atwood, Coe Booth, Tricia Rayburn, Daniel Ehrenhaft, Anna Godbersen, Alyssa Sheinmel, Adam Gidwitz and Jim McCann. Cool giveaways, books for sale and autographing will be available. LIMITED tickets for teens will be available at the library beginning on April 1, 2011. Please note: this program takes place at St. Joseph's College, Patchogue, NY and attendees are responsible for their own transportation to and from this event.
As if that's not enough....
24 lucky Suffolk County teens will be selected to volunteer to pair with an author for the entire day. Applications for this opportunity my be submitted by Friday, March 18, 2011. What better way to earn volunteer credit than by doing something as fun as hanging out with an author all day?
