Young Adult Summer Programs

We have begun sign ups for all of our Young Adult Summer Programs.  Click on the program name to go directly to our calendar to sign up, or come down to the library or call (581-9200x5).  Just remember, you will need your library card to sign up for each program.



Acting Workshop  EIY718
Tuesdays, July 26 & August 2, 5-6:30pm
Entering grades 6-12
Calling all actors!  Attend these dramatic workshops and learn the art of improv, hone your acting skills, perfect your deliverance of monologues and even work on a bit of writing.  Then, on August 2 at 6pm, you will take everything you learned and perform a monologue for your family and friends.

T-Shirt Tie Dye  EIY710

Entering grades 6-12
Learn how to recycle an old white shirt or dye a new one!  Please bring a washed white or light colored shirt, the more worn the better.  Shirts should be 100% cotton or 50% cotton and 50% polyester for best results.


Felt Clutch  EIY766

Entering grades 6-12
Fee: $5 cash
Use felt, decorative gems and glue to create a fashion forward clutch, perfect for stashing a phone and other essentials.  $5 in exact change is due at the time of registration at the Adult Reference Desk.

Young Adult Programs are open to East Islip Library Cardholders.  You will need your library card to register for all programs whether online or at the Reference Desk.  Out of district patrons will be placed directly on a waitlist and invited to programs based on availability.
