State-certified Driver and Traffic Safety Education course
Suffolk County Community College is offering high school students the New York State certified Driver and Traffic Safety Education course for the Fall 2012 semester.
Why you should take the class:
- You may be eligible for a rate reduction in your automobile insurance
- You will be able to receive your Senior License at age 17 rather than at 18
- Your high school may possibly grant you credit for completing the course
- Consists of 25.5 classroom hours and 25.5 in-car instruction hours
- Classes offered on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays
- Cost of instruction is $538.50 per student
- You must have a learner's permit and be at least 16 years old before the first day of the class
Application deadline is Wednesday, September 5, 2012.
Courses are filled on a first-come, first-served basis, so register early.
