Virtual Edward Hopper Inspired Lighthouse Drawing   EIA602
Monday, September 14, Grades 7-Adult
Learn how to draw a beautiful lighthouse inspired by one of America’s finest artists.  Doris will lead participants virtually through the drawing allowing the viewer to pause or rewind the tutorial and work at their own pace.  All that is needed is a piece of 8.5” x 11” copy paper and pencil (black marker and colored pencils are optional).  Register for this program online or call the Reference Desk at 631-581-9200 x5; make sure to include your email in the note field when registering for this program online. Tweens and teens: make your very own pan of apple brownies. Take and Make: Virtual Pumpkin String Art Craft   EIJ695
Thursday, October 1, 9:00 a.m., Tweens and Teens
Fall for this adorable pumpkin string art project!  Register to pick up a craft kit and then follow along with the program’s instructional video, available on our website, Facebook or YouTube account. You will be able to pick up materials from the Children’s Department starting Wednesday, September 30.  Register for this program in-person, online or by telephone at 9:00 a.m. on September 17 at the Children’s Desk.

Re-imagine the lovable character Pikachu in a brand new way inspired by the multi-talented Mexican artist, Jorge Gutierrez.  Doris will lead participants through a virtual guided drawing allowing the viewer to pause or rewind the tutorial and work at their own pace.  Simple materials you have on hand at home are needed: copy paper, pencil, markers and colored pencils.  Register for this program online or call the Reference Desk at 631-581-9200 x5; make sure to include your email in the note field when registering for this program online. Virtual Zombie Workshop   EIJ696
Monday, October 12, for Tweens and Teens  
Learn about the history of zombies, from the origins in Haiti to its current representations in popular culture. Then, learn how to do your own Zombie makeup for both face and arm[scabs]! This program will be available on the library’s website and social media for one month. Tune in at your leisure.
