For high school students and parents
The workshop will help educate you on how to finance your college education.  Topics covered include filling out the FAFSA, grants, scholarships, and the various types of loans.  You will also learn how to determine the amount of aid you qualify for and some pretty great programs New York State has available for students to help them after graduation.

Grades 7-12
Celebrate this time of year by writing a letter to a veteran for the Huntington Chamber of Commerce’s Veteran Letter Program.  You will receive guidelines for your letter upon registration. Please call the Reference Desk at (631) 581-9200 ext. 5 to register.  Earn one (1) hour of community service for completing this program. 

Take and Make: DIY Macramé Plant Holder     (EIY821)

Join Jenny Lemons for a guided video on how to make a beautiful, handcrafted macramé plant holder.  Keep this creation for yourself or give it as a gift. Kits include precut macramé cord and wooden ring.

Holiday Green Screen Volunteers     (EIY822)
Grades 9-12  
Volunteers will learn how to use Green Screen software to take seasonal pictures of registered patrons. Please call the Reference Desk at (631) 581-9200 ext. 5 to register.  Earn two (2) hours of community service for this opportunity.

Candy Cane Sugar Scrub     (EIY823)

Create a festive candy cane sugar scrub with essential oils and more.  Take it home in a minimalist jar that you can decorate.  Give it as a gift for someone in your life or keep to treat yourself during the holiday season!

Take and Make: Winter is for the Birds     (EIJ568)

Register to pick up a kit and then make a bird feeder to help feed our feathered friends in the colder months. After hanging your bird feeder, get ready to help in the Audubon's 122nd Christmas Bird Count!  The count occurs December 14, 2021- January 5, 2022. All information will be provided in this take and make. If you would like to earn community service credit, please note this at time of registration.

Join us for our TAB meeting where we will talk about our interests and welcome your suggestions for new teen programs and services.  This is your chance to be heard; let us know what YOU want!
