Take & Make: Prompted Journal Kits      (EIY825)
Pick up begins Monday, January 3
Grades 7-12
New year, new hobby!  Pick up a blank journal, pack of pens, and list of prompts to complete each week throughout the New Year!  Journal kits will be available on Monday, January 3 while supplies last.  For East Islip Public Library cardholders only.  

Data Detox x Youth      (EIY826)
Pick up begins Monday, January 10, completed packets must be handed in by Monday, January 31 to receive credit
Grades 7-12
Reflect on aspects of your digital life by learning about digital privacy, digital security, digital wellbeing, misinformation, and ways to take control of your technology.  Pick up a packet at the Reference Desk starting Monday, January 3.  By completing this packet, you can earn three (3) hours of community service.  To receive credit, packets must be submitted by Monday, January 31.  For East Islip Public Library cardholders only. 

DIY Galaxy Jars      (EIY827)

Grades 7-12
Using different paint, shiny glitter, and fluffy cotton balls, you can create your very own galaxy in a jar!  This project could get messy, so please wear clothes you don’t mind getting paint on!

Take and Make: Love Monsters Cupcake Workshop     (EIY828)
Thursday, February 3 at 7:00 p.m.
Grades 7-12
Decorate these adorable love monsters using pastry bags, buttercream icing, and fondant.  Each kit contains enough materials to make three delicious monster cupcakes.  Pick up begins on Thursday, February 3 at 9:00 a.m.  You will be emailed a link to the tutorial on Friday, February 4 at 11:00 a.m.  Please note that kits MUST be picked up by Sunday, February 6 at 5:00 p.m.

Valentine’s Day Luminaries     (EIY829)

Grades 7-12
Whether it’s a celebration of Valentine’s Day theme or an anti-Valentine’s day motif, create a beautiful luminary with tissue paper, electronic tea lights, and mason jars.

Join us for our bi-monthly TAB meeting where we will talk about our interests and welcome your suggestions for new teen programs and services.  This is your chance to be heard; let us know what YOU want!  Earn one (1) hour of community service for attending this program.
