Join Ms. Ware, East Islip Middle School Librarian and Mrs. Worst, East Islip Public Library YA Librarian, to discuss the novel The Giver by Lois Lowry: Given his lifetime assignment at the Ceremony of Twelve, Jonas becomes the receiver of memories shared by only one other in his community and discovers the terrible truth about the society in which he lives.  Bring a friend and join this lively discussion.  Refreshments will be served.





Mother's Day Floral Workshop  EIY704

Learn how to design a fresh flower arrangement to give to a deserving person on Mother's Day.  Please bring $2.50 in exact change when you sign up at the Reference Desk.  






Getting Ready to Babysit  EIY702

Fee: $10.00 CASH  
Bring a snack and learn the skills to become a babysitter.  Topics covered include: child safety, developmental stages of children and how to plan activities that are age appropriate.  You will receive a certificate upon completion.  Please bring $10.00 in exact change when you sign up at the Reference Desk.
